May Face Favorites

Hey kids! I'm back with a couple of favorites for the month of May.

FairyDrops Candy Bar BB Cream in Ochre - I have been using this product every day for a week now and I'm quite happy with it. I love the demi-matte finish it gives my skin. I reckon that my shade, Ochre would suit NC30-35 ladies. For my oily skin, it lasts the entire day given that I set it with my trusty MAC Blot Powder. Coverage I would say is medium but buildable. I love how my skin still looks like my skin but way,way better.
I don't appreciate the fact that only 2 shades are available though, Ochre being the darker one.
This BB cream is available at Beauty Bar stores, for P1550. Quite pricey but it definitely delivers.

FairyDrops Platinum Mascara Film Type Waterproof - Oh well whaddaya know, another Fairydrops product! I am just in love with this mascara. It may be a pain in the butt to remove but the formula is amazing. Holds the curl in place and my lashes never feel crunchy. Who wants crunchy lashes right?? This will stay on until you need to remove it (sunflower oil does the job for me) and I promise you that this is gym and tear proof. What more can a girl ask for?
I purchased mine from Sasa during a recent trip to Hong Kong for 110HKD (much, much cheaper) I learned that this costs P1,150 at Beauty Bar stores.

Koji Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black - Oh man, so I think I've fallen head over heels for Japanese cosmetics, huh? I'm just going to put this out there... This thing is HG material for me. Super easy to use, very black and will.never.ever.budge. It's rated a 4.4 on makeupalley and I think that speaks for itself. Downside is, you have to purchase this online or like me, hoard from Hong Kong which sells this for about 105HKD.

MAC Satin Blush in Modern Mandarin - Now that we're done with the Japanese stuff, here's a little bit of good 'ol MAC for you. I've been reaching for this blush a lot and I don't know why but this tangerine shade makes me happy! I do think that this would look lovely on every skin tone. Texture's great, pigmentation is awesome and it leaves a gorgeous golden sheen on the cheeks. I believe that this is limited edition though but I purchased mine from MAC in Eastwood a few months back so they still might have it in stock. If you do not own a glowy tangerine blush yet, RUN OUT THE DOOR AND GRAB THIS BABY,STAT. May still be available at MAC stores nationwide for P1,200.

MAC x Marilyn Monroe

Hi lovelies! I'm back and I'm here to show you my picks from the MAC x Marilyn Monroe collection which was just released in Manila today, October 21st. I wasn't really keen on getting anything other than a lipstick so I went ahead and grabbed a tube of the shade that stood out to me the most. I got Deeply Adored, a deep scarlet according to MAC. I immediately tried it on when I got home and ohmygosh... I'm in love! I'm so glad that I picked this color. Definitely recommend that you get one for yourself,if you can!

So I was already happy with my lipstick purchase but the blush lover in me couldn't help but swatch one of the blushes in the collection and well... whaddaya know? I ended up buying The Perfect Cheek blusher, too! It's a gorgeous rosy neutral pink that would go with just about any look, be it smoky or natural. Super versatile shade!

Top Three : MAC Blushes

Hey lovelies!
Here are my top 3 MAC powder blush picks!

(Clockwise L-R) Dollymix, Margin, Fleur Power

What MAC says:

Dollymix - Pure candy pink
Margin - Peach with golden shimmer
Fleur Power - Soft bright pinkish-coral

My Thoughts:

MAC blushes in general are great products. Color range, pigmentation and longevity wise, these babies are just amazing!

Dollymix is a bright hot pink with a slight shimmer (undetectable on skin!) which makes for a great flush on the cheeks when applied with a light hand. Margin is a shimmery "dirty" peach that can be incredibly flattering on a variety of skintones! Screams J.Lo! And then there's Fleur Power. It's a lovely coral-pink with a hint of shimmer, great for a bright pop of color on the cheeks.

And there you have it! I highly recommend these blushes. Love, love these!

Stay tuned for more of my "Top Threes" ;-)
