Sneak Peek: Flowers in Your Hair

"And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there, with grace in your heart and flowers in your hair."

Happy Halloween!

Hello, loves! Halloween's definitely one of my favorite "holidays" and this year, I ditched the cutesy costume and went all out as a "walker", aka a zombie for those of you who don't watch The Walking Dead, which I'm a HUGE fan of!

For this look I used tissue paper, Elmer's Glue, dry oats, Ben Nye's Monster Wheel, eye shadows and lip gloss! Easy peasy!
I ordered contact lenses online but they didn't arrive in time for Halloween. BOO.
But oh well, I still look kinda dead, right? ;-)

I feel so pretty!
Can't wait til next year!

Hostess with the Mostess

Last Friday, I did my former high school classmate Kj Castillo's make up. She hosted FEU-NRMF's Med Night for this year. Kj had nice skin so I only applied a light layer of liquid foundation to even out her skin tone. I did a smoky eye on her as per her request and I went ahead and enhanced her other features with a bit of contouring and highlighting, soft brows, a lovely pair of falsies, coral cheeks and a nice pink lip care of MAC's Pink Nouveau.

You looked fab,Kj!
Congratulations on your first hosting gig!;-)
Talk to you guys soon!
Stay lovely.

Maquillage Professionnel Day 4: Maquillage du Jour

I had an awesome time learning about day makeup. Today, our class also met Sir Mio, one of MP's respected instructors. Day make up's all about looking fresh, fresh, fresh! Bright eyes, sheer foundation, flushed cheeks and subtle definition. I learned a lot from Sir Mio and I'm glad that he was quite pleased with my work at the end of the session.

My beyond gorgeous kumare Kat served as my blank canvas for this look. I sort of felt like I was cheating cause she's already a natural head-turner but oh well what can I do... You can't blame me for having such gorgeous friends!!! Hahaha! But kidding aside, I was lucky enough to have worked with Kat who already had such a fresh look, even without makeup!

I'll let the photos do the talking now! ;-)

    Products used (in order):
    • MUFE HD Microperfecting Primer
    • MUFE Face & Body Foundation
    • MUFE Lift Concealer
    • MUFE Full Cover Concealer

    • MUFE Brow Corrector (I mixed shade numbers 0 & 2)
    • MUFE Sculpting Kit in #2
    • MUFE Shine On Powder
    • MUFE Eye Shadows (light color on the lid, medium & dark colors blended on the crease area)
    • MUFE Star Powder (placed on the center of the lids)

Maquillage Professionnel Day 2: Contour and Brows

Today was all about facial shape and eyebrow correction. We had an in depth discussion on the different facial shapes; how to contour them and the proper way of "doing" brows. I asked a bunch of questions and I'm so glad that our instructor, Ms. Mikee was so accommodating. Can I just say! I love her so much already. She's so kalog and pa-girl! I love it! There's never a dull in moment class because of her!

I super enjoyed working on my very good friend Trina. She had the ideal Oval face shape so I only did a bit of contouring on her (cheeks, jaws, temples, forehead, nose). I really got to practice doing brows 'cause Trina's were quite short and sparse. I loved that it was a bit of a challenge for me and I'm actually quite happy with the way her brows turned out!

The Sculpting Kit and Waterproof Eyebrow Corrector were definitely the stars of the show! Loved those products and I personally think they're must-haves!

Okay, enough of my babbling. I'll just let the pictures do the talking!

    Products used (in order):

    • MUFE HD Microperfecting Primer
    • MUFE 5 Camouflage Cream Palette (Orange, Green & Purple) -
for under eye circles, red spots and old blemishes
    • MUFE Mat Velvet + Foundation (I mixed 2 shades)
    • MUFE Lift Concealer
    • MUFE Super Matte Loose Powder
    • MUFE Brow Corrector (I mixed shade numbers 2 & 3)
    • MUFE Concealer & Lip Liner Pencil - for highlighting under the brow
    • MUFE Sculpting Kit in #2
    • MUFE Powder Blush

    Trina's Before Shot
    Trina's After Shot
    Very fresh with subtle definition!
And there you have it! I can't wait to learn new things tomorrow!

Maquillage Professionnel Day 1: All Bases Covered

Today was my first day in makeup school. I still can't believe that I'm finally doing this! I'm finally pursuing a career in makeup artistry! *HAPPY DANCE*

Day 1 was all about base makeup. Priming, color correcting, foundation application, concealing and setting the makeup. Basically, we learned how to put on a flawless base.
I was lucky enough to have worked with one my best friends, Becca. She had good skin to begin with so it was a breeze working on her. Everything that we used (and will be using) is from Make Up Forever. Top-notch quality, I tell you!

    Products used (in order):

    • Make Up For Ever HD Microperfecting Primer in 1 Green - to counteract the redness on Becca's face
    • Make Up For Ever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette (Green & Purple) - for red spots and old blemishes
    • Make Up Forever HD Foundation - medium to full buildable coverage; natural-looking,flawless finish
    • Make Up Forever Lift Concealer - great for lifting the under eye area
    • Make Up Forever Super Matte Loose Powder - applied with a powder puff to set everything
    • Make Up Forever Duo Mat Powder Foundation - for added coverage

    Fresh Faced Becca
We were only allowed to apply a bit of gloss after! Photo is raw and unedited :-)

I really loved the HD foundation and the Lift Concealer! Probably gonna get those for my kit!So there it is. I really enjoyed my first day at Maquillage Professionnel! Time really flies by when you're having loads of fun! I am so excited for the coming days!
